What the video shows

The video is 10 minutes, filmed from above with no narration, so you can watch every step at your own pace. Use the chapters above the video’s description to jump to a part.

What stood out

  • It folds: two halves joined in the middle, and with the back off, each half has its own large battery area behind a shield.
  • The camera module sits in the top corner of one half.
  • Metal shields cover the boards and connectors. They come off with tweezers before anything can be disconnected.
  • Opening it takes several steps: screws out of the frame, a few minutes on a heat plate to soften the adhesive, then a suction separator to lift the back before picks and a thin pry tool finish the job.

Why we take phones apart

Knowing how a phone is built tells us which parts can be replaced on their own, where the connectors are, and how to open it without damage. It’s how we plan a repair before we open your phone, whether it’s a screen, a battery or a camera.
